Cathodic Protection - Vac Rigs
Miller crews can install cathodic protection of pipelines including anodes, test wires and bonding wires. In many cases this can be done using the Miller Vac-Hoe® vacuum excavator and the Slot® "small hole" excavation method. Our confined space entry technicians are also experienced in the bonding of wires inside pipelines to provide electrical continuity from joint to joint, which can be a vital part of the cathodic protection system.
Vac Rigs Utility Locating and Surveying
Primarily using vacuum excavation techniques, Miller crews can verify the location of underground utilities with only a small Slot® opening. These include gas, water, sewer and other pipelines, as well as TV, telephone and electric cables. This technique eliminates large, disruptive excavations associated with more traditional equipment.
