Our construction capabilities and experience include installation of welded steel pipe and polyethylene pipe using both butt fusion and electro-fusion. Many projects are done turnkey, with Miller installing a gas or water main and services, and transferring all the services from the old to the new main, including meter set change-outs and in-house connections.
Because of our state-of-the-art equipment and the knowledge and experience of our people, we have what it takes to work efficiently in urban settings as well as rural "cross country" environments. The selection of the proper equipment and its effective use is a key competency at Miller. We operate a large fleet of machines and equipment capable of handling a full range of plastic and steel pipe, along with a full complement of support and specialty equipment used in our various trenchless technologies.
Miller is among the leaders in the installation of polyethylene pipe used for potable water, in both transmission and distribution piping. Our extensive experience with this product, and our understanding of its many unique installation characteristics, allows us to guarantee a quality installation. Our customers tell us they know they can count on us to provide helpful design suggestions and a quality installation at a competitive price.
Built on our extensive experience in gas pipeline contracting, Miller Pipeline entered the water and wastewater as well as gas pipeline rehabilitation business in 1970. Since then, we have specialized in all phases of pipeline installations, rehabilitation and related services. Through the years, we have seen how our nation's aging infrastructure, federal and state budget cuts, utility deregulation and competition have made it necessary to seek more cost-effective alternatives to pipe replacement. We have practical alternatives to many of our country's infrastructure problems-like fixing pipes that cannot economically be repaired or replaced by conventional methods. This includes the development and application of innovative pipeline rehabilitation and replacement processes, including the use of trenchless technologies.
