Foreman Accelerated Supervisory Training (F.A.S.T.) Program
Miller offers an accelerated supervisory and leadership training program that we call F.A.S.T. and it is designed to prepare selected employees to become successful supervisors. Employees with three years of experience or more can apply for the program, but only the top candidates are selected. Once in the program, the F.A.S.T. candidates receive comprehensive training that includes the following:

Static Electricity Safety
Motor Vehicle Safety
Competent Person Training for Trenching and Excavation Safety
DOT Supervisory Drug & Alcohol

Techniques for motivating people
Coaching for peak performance
Managing for personal effectiveness
Problem solving for individuals and groups
Customer service and customer relations
Legal supervision
Additional Training
Administrative Training
Equipment Maintenance Training
Operator Qualification Training
Additional on-the-job training
In addition to the formal training noted above, the selected individuals do a considerable amount of on the job training and perform some foreman duties. The process takes approximately a year to finish. After the employee has successfully completed this training, he or she is generally assigned a foreman position.
