AMEX 2000 and AMEX 32-400

AMEX 2000 and AMEX 32-400 Pipe Lining Systems, offered by Miller Pipeline throughout North America, is a technology that is specially designed for the reconstruction of low and medium pressure gas distribution pipelines. Both have been recognized by gas utilities around the world as truly cost-effective pipeline rehabilitation and upgrade methods where other remediation is not applicable. These products eliminate the disruption and expense of trenching, while providing a reconstructed pipe at a fraction of the cost of replacement. This lining technology has been proven in installations totaling over five million feet of gas distribution piping. AMEX Pipe Lining Systems have been rigorously tested by several internationally recognized institutions and approved for use in a number of countries around the world.

AMEX Pipe Lining Systems offer many advantages over conventional repair and replacement, as well as other trenchless techniques. Unlike installation by trenching, they are efficient, easy to install, cost effective and far less disruptive to traffic. There is no loss of flow capacity as with insertion methods, and the liner can accommodate service tap intrusion up to one inch. AMEX liners bond fully and directly to the pipe, sealing the main over its entire length. This eliminates the movement of any gas outside the liner and allows a pressure upgrade of the line if desired. Future service connections can also be tapped without need for special equipment or fittings.

AMEX 2000 is designed for use on pipelines operating from low pressure up to 60 psig. AMEX 32-400 is designed for use on mains operating under 15 psig. Handled by skilled technicians, the installation process is designed to keep outage time to a minimum.
